With the six balances of the BM Series, you can choose a capacity as high as 520 g or a microbalance with readability down to 1 µg. All BM balances offer built-in features, which let you handle with ease even trace quantities of valuable substances.
No weighing errors due to electrostatic charges
Electrostatic charges are the main source of error in precision weighing. To avoid this source of error, all A&D BM Micro Analytical Balances are equipped with a fanless internal ionizer and metallized glass draft shields.
Ergonomic, efficient and flexible
A large weighing chamber with a removable separation plate, interlockable sliding doors and a special double ring structure around the weighing pan offer more space and easier operation than any conventional µg balance.
All BM balances are equipped with a motor driven internal calibration with a built in calibration mass. This feature saves time and money as the balance can be calibrated very quickly without requiring any expensive external calibration mass. This self calibration can be executed manually at the touch of a button, or automatically whenever it is required because of ambient temperature fluctuations. Furthermore, the BM balances permanently analyse the influence of drafts or vibrations on the stability of the displayed value and adjust their response characteristics automatically.
The BM balances can store up to 200 sets of weighing data or 50 sets of calibration data in their internal memory. The data can be output to two two different external devices (eg. to a printer and a PC) simultaneously. An optional LAN-Ethernet Interface provides an easy integration of the BM balances in computer networks.
All BM balances come with a data logger, which can store up to 5000 weighing results with date and time. This data can easily be exported to a personal computer at any time without requiring to install any special driver software.
Static electricity can be a fatal source of error in precision weighing - eliminating static electricity often dramatically improves weighing accuracy. For this reason, all BM balances feature metallized draft shields and a neutralization chamber equipped with an ionizer. To completely eliminate electrostatic charges, it is sufficient to place the sample for 1 second into this chamber before weighing. This procedure is suitable for all types of samples, including very fine powders, as the ionizer works fanless.
Inter lockable sliding doors which let you perform weighing more efficiently, a removable separation plate which allows to enlarge the weighing chamber to weigh large flasks or cylinders and a wide range of different pans and holder make the BM balances a flexible and user friendly choice for a wide range of weighing tasks.

** Smart range function:
The minimum weighing value will switch to 0.01 mg automatically when the display value exceeds 5.1 g but returns to 0.001 mg by pressing the RE-ZERO key.
