Digital Refractometers / Brixmeters Overview
In the year 1994 KEM launched its first digital refractometer and ushered in at the same time a new area in digital refractometry: KEM’s RA-510 bench top refractometer was the first digital refractometer available in the market equipped with a solid state thermostate (Peltier).
Nowadays, KEM manufactures both, portable and bench top digital refractometers and brixmeters. These instruments allow quick and reliable measurements of liquid samples. They are used to measure the refractive index, sugar concentrations in %Brix and other concentrations in many different types of liquid products such as soft drinks, oils, flavors and fragrances, beer, fruit juices, etc.
