Balances

A&D was founded in 1977 in Japan by a group of 13 engineers. Based on their unique skills in analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion technology (the A&D name stands for “Analog to Digital Conversion”) they focussed on the development of measuring and weighing products.

In 1982 A&D launched its first electronic balances. Nowadays, A&D has grown into a multinational corporation and is currently the world’s third largest manufacturer of laboratory and industrial balances with 20% of the world market share. This success is certainly due to A&Ds strong focus on customer’s satisfaction: A&D balances excel with design simplicity and an easy after sales service.

We are convinced that A&D offers the best balance for your budget when you need a analytical or precision toploading balance.
